Madam, - People praise God for so many different things. This week I praise God for the lack of traffic on the N7 going towards Dublin. I travelled into Dublin every day this week in 40 minutes - a journey that would normally take about 90 minutes.
Am I faster than Michael Schumacher? No: it's just that the colleges, schools and creches, are all out for the summer. Also there are thousands on holidays. With the Galway races there is an additional westward exodus of pretty people, politicians and racing enthusiasts from Dublin's fair city. Oh, the joy of travelling quickly into Dublin by car.
