Sir, – Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the bridge could be named after a brave, inspirational, unselfish young person who faces the biggest challenge any person has to face? His work to prevent suicide could be hugely enhanced by this single gesture which could also help many families who are touched by the sadness and torment of suicide.
It could be not only a recognition of this person’s bravery but a clear signal to our young people that we value them, believe in them and will trust them in the future. It could be named “The Donal Walsh Bridge”. – Yours, etc,
