Madam, - I am concerned about the Government's increasing obsession with the letter "P". They have been telling us of the importance of the "Polluter Pays Principle" and the success of "Public Private Partnerships". It got worse during the election campaign when the larger party declared "Peace, Prosperity and Progress" but reached positively prodigious proportions (forgive me, it's contagious) when the National Spatial Strategy was subtitled "People Places and Potential".
Can we move on - at least to the letter "Q"? Might I suggest: "Quitting, Quietly and Quickly"? - Yours, etc.,
PAUL O'DWYER, The Square, Newport, Co Tipperary.
