Sir, – As a recently discharged patient following a major operation at our National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street, I would like to remind this Government how lucky it is to have such an amazing team of dedicated, caring, hardworking consultants doctors, midwives and nurses working in our hospitals, whose every minute of their extremely long working day is carried out with complete compassion, kindness, sensitivity and always a smile, even when they must feel utterly exhausted.
