Sir, - However much the pro-abortion No camp may seek to minimisethe pro-life No vote, it is clear that there is a pro-life majority inthis country.
Given the probability (by reference to the turnout figures for therespective areas), that the pro-abortion vote was at a maximum, andthat in contrast many pro-life voters stayed at home, the pro-lifemajority is a substantial one.
It would therefore behove aspirant TDs to ignore the call for"legislation" - which is not supported by the majority of the people -and look again at what the public actually asked for: a pro-lifereferendum, not the appalling mess we got. - Yours, etc.,
