ABORTION REFERENDUM

Sir, - There has never been a more appropriate time for a Referendum to let the people decide

Sir, - There has never been a more appropriate time for a Referendum to let the people decide. Even if you do not agree that the clinic is exactly the same as Auschwitz, it must be accepted that it is the nearest thing to it that exists today.

Legalised abortion has a bad history. The Russian Government and party that first legalised it went on to kill nine million of its own adult citizens. Legalisation was Hitler's first social legislation innovation - immediately on taking power in 1933. It was his first taste of killing the innocent. Truman, who atom incinerated essentially undefended civilian targets of a defeated enemy, was the person ultimately answerable for the legalisation of abortion in Japan, after the war, during the occupation.

Too many young people have fallen for the slogan of pro choice of violence. Some time ago, a survey of US doctors found less than five per cent would perform the operation. Some 79 per cent of county councils here have called for a referendum. The Medical Council has said that abortion, today, is never needed to save a womans life. The case is made. - Yours, etc.,

Chairman
