A chara, – In your editorial "Maintaining key services" (January 6th), you state that "given the wide roll-out of the booster programme, this should have a significant impact on absenteeism".

The Oxford Dictionary defines “absenteeism” as “the practice of regularly staying away from work or school without good reason”.There is no absenteeism when it comes to the Covid pandemic. Many in employer organisations and in the media are using the word incorrectly, creating incorrect negative connotations concerning employees. Please stop. – Is mise,
