Madam, - A recent advertisement for the Star Alliance of airlines is missing a familiar name: Aer Lingus. The decision by the company to "go budget" has caused its expulsion from Star. Madam, - Aer Lingus is our national airline and in spite of its management problems we should be proud of it.
However, to this aged contributor to your Letters page, standards are standards. To advertise cheap airline seats as requiring so many "bums" to occupy them seems to me to be the height of vulgarity and not worthy of the airline. - Yours, etc.,
