Sir, - I have just read (August 6th) Canon William Arlow's short article about the Church of Ireland's role in the Orange confrontation at Drumcree and would like to say to him in public, "Well done". He has said what ought to be said and hasn't pulled his punches.
For too long, members of the Church of Ireland have kept their heads welldown. If they've spoken out in private, it is always on the understanding, "Mind you, I've said nothing". There are exceptions to this, but not many. - Yours, etc
Rathnamagh,
Crossmolina, Co Mayo.
