Sir, – I have just returned home from a journey on the Dart, commencing in Glasthule on a train with a final destination of Connolly station.
Despite this the on board information screen persisted in telling us passengers that the destination was Greystones, and in addition that the next station was the terminus.
At a time of year when we expect to have large numbers of visitors in our city and even encourage them to use the Dart service, is it too much to ask that the on-board information be correct? This is not an isolated incident, in fact it is a malaise that has persisted for some time. In addition, at night, because of reflection caused by the internal lighting in the carriages, it is well nigh impossible to read the names of the stations. I should also add that no information was announced regarding the identity of the next station throughout the journey.
Ah shure, isn’t it Ireland? Who gives a damn! – Yours, etc,
