Sir, - In his speech to the Earth Summit on Tuesday, the Taoiseach described the decline in overseas development aid during the last decade as "shameful".
This came only five days after it emerged that his Government had decision to further reduce aid to developing nations, bringing the total reduction to over €40 million this year.
Does this show the Taoiseach's disregard for the Earth Summit and the electorate, or is he merely showing early signs of the memory loss he will surely suffer in front of future questioning? - Yours, etc.,
