Sir, - It is surprising to see recently from your columnists (Renagh Holohan and Denis Coghlan) that the London judgment is the deciding factor in debarring Albert Reynolds from thee Presidency. What an extraordinary, colonial hangover!
Perhaps we do not deserve a President whose flair and gravitas saw him through a system of justice which has led to the imprisonment of so many Irish people. It is a frightening reality that a person of lesser wealth could not have legally challenged any public slight to his integrity. I look forward to the autobiography. - Yours, etc.,
