Madam, - I see you carry yet another letter from Michael Cawley, yer man's deputy at Ryanair (Dec 14th). The amount of free publicity this company can get is astounding. This time the story is that the misleading reference to "Frankfurt Hahn" is not Ryanair's fault; it is the airport's! At least he is not denying that it is misleading.
I wonder if there is something here that Irish airports can learn from the canny Germans. Suppose Knock Airport was to call itself "Dublin Knock" might it get loads of unsuspecting German passengers? After all, Knock is as near to Dublin as Hahn is to Frankfurt.
But I suppose anything that is even mildly critical of Ryanair will not get published. - Yours, etc,
WJ MURPHY, Malahide, Co Dublin.
