Sir, - In our primary school, we have tried every year to keeps interest in Gaelic sports alive. This year we have entered two teams in the Dublin Primary Schools League Under 11 and Under 13. Teachers, on a voluntary basis, have stayed behind on a number of evenings to do some training.
Now our school would have liked the opportunity to buy ones ticket (maybe two tickets) to see the All Ireland Final. However, in the yearly raffle of tickets for schools our name has not come out again this year - so none of us could go. This is most likely the case with other schools.
However, some teachers will stay behind again this week to continue with training. Sometimes we think (in moments of madness) that our voluntary work is important to the survival of the GAA, especially in Dublin. Is this "why we are not in the corporate executive field? - Yours, etc.,
