Sir, – Your edition on August 17th had two headlines about the Revenue Commissioners, one announcing a crackdown on property tax valuations, the other announcing a crackdown on builders doing cash jobs.
These articles followed on from another recent report of a crackdown on hospital consultants working as limited companies for tax purposes.
Surely there should be a regular low-grade application of tax laws and all other laws instead of these dubious crackdowns.
I will crack up if you report any more of them.
