Sir, – From my artist friends the news was "Colin Davidson's on the cover of Time magazine!" "Oh, yeah, who's the sitter?" "Angela Merkel." I found it extraordinary that Angela Merkel being Time's 2015 Person of the Year was referred to more than once in Saturday's Irish Times, but not a mention of Time's cover being a portrait painted by an Irish artist. – Yours, etc,
