Sir, – We are told quangos are no longer popular nor profitable, but we have just acquired another one (Home News, December 19th). Let us roll forward 10 years. The pyrite-affected homes will still be raising the floor if not the roof, the unfortunate purchasers at Priory Hall will still be homeless and the, politically well-connected and probably Irish-speaking, board members will still be on the pig’s back.
