A chara, – I've been enjoying Bernice Harrison's TV reviews of late. In her scathing review of (RTÉ's) The View, however (Weekend Review, April 3rd), she points to what she believes are the programme's shortcomings, lamenting them all the more because "it's the only general arts show on Irish TV".
I wish to kindly draw Ms Harrison's attention to the fact that TG4 also serves a weekly feast for the country's art lovers. Imeallprovides a platform for artists and various contributors in a way that portrays the arts as something very real, very much alive, and very visible in all corners of Ireland.
