Madam, - Colm O'Donnell (September 12th) and Cahir Healy (September 15th) differ over the replacement of our national anthem with the puerile and atrocious ditty Ireland's Call. Mr Healy suggest solving the problem by playing both the Irish and British anthems. Why not write another new song and call it "God Save The Team"? It might not please anyone but it could be apt! - Yours, etc.,

Madam. - I do not wish to support an organisation that presumes to call itself the Irish Rugby Football Union while denying our National Anthem. Perhaps the blazers at Lansdowne Road might consider removing the initials IR and leave the FU? - Yours, etc.,
