Madam, - Isn't it wonderful how much one can know about the voting details of a general assembly without attending (Fergus Johnston, April 7th)?
To end my part in this present discussion, may I point out to Mr Johnston that I did not "attack" my friend Raymond Deane, whose music I greatly admire but whose prejudice against Israel I regret. Couldn't we in future agree to concern ourselves, if anything, with building bridges between warring tribes rather than the reverse? - Yours, etc,
