Madam, - I welcome Breda O'Brien's recognition (Opinion, December 23rd) that the most important issue facing the world is not the sexualisation of childhood, nor even the secularisation of the West, but climate change.
However, her call for unity between atheists and believers would have been a little more convincing if she had not spent the first two-thirds of her article tearing strips off Richard Dawkins, atheism's most famous defender, and those who agree with him.
She has a right to slag off anyone she likes, but it is not conducive to building unity of spirit. - Yours, etc,
