Sir, - As someone who always enjoys John Boland's Bookworm column on Saturdays, I was interested to read about him picking up a reprint of Yeats's 1936 Oxford Book of Modern Verse. He mentions in brackets that it notoriously excluded Wilfred Owen. However, more notoriously and closer to home, Yeats also excluded Austin Clarke, who for many years graced the same pages as John Boland and with whom I enjoyed many years' friendship and indeed love. - Yours, etc.,
