Madam, - The letter from Finian McGrath, TD, complaining about Dublin Port Tunnel winning an international award (December 22nd), is unfair to the men and women who work on the project.
The vast majority of the residents affected by our work appreciate the efforts we put into keeping them informed. They know we have arranged independent "before and after" surveys and they tell us they are happy we have guaranteed that any damage caused to their homes will be remedied by us.
We appreciate the support and patience of residents. We will continue to work with them to resolve any difficulties. The tone and content of Mr McGrath's letter do not reflect the good-humoured reality of almost all our daily dealings with residents. - Yours, etc.,
