Madam, - Mary Harney has banned "magic mushrooms", apparently at the petition of one family who lost a son in a fall attributed to the use of the drugs.
Perhaps the country would be better served if Ms Harney gave such consideration and swift effect to the wishes of those relatives who have lost family members to smoking-related illness, or to alcohol related illness, or to MRSA, or for the want of a national breast-screening program, or in ambulances on the back roads of Monaghan. - Yours, etc,
