Madam, – May I suggest to the bluebottle-beleaguered gentleman (June 28th), to try using the humble elastic band in his on-going campaign against these infernal monstrosities?
With some practice, the common elastic band becomes the Patriot missile to demolish the Scud that is the house fly – or is that stretching a metaphor too far? Perhaps The Irish Timescould support said campaign by enclosing a small elastic device along with their excellent abomination-smiting media? – Yours, etc,
