Sir, I was amazed to read Michael Dervan's long feature on the new Belfast Concert Hall (January 17th) which manages to cover the history, potential and future programme of this £32 million project without once mentioning the name of the architect who designed it. The omission is all the more ironic as Mr Dervan refers to prototypes for its design and succeeds in identifying one architect - Hans Scharoun, designer of the Berlin Philharmonic - in his comments.
The architect of this important public building is Victor Robinson, partner in the distinguished Belfast practice of Robinson and McIlvaine. - Yours, etc.,
