Sir, - Tom Quinn's Irishman's Diary of May 14th made interesting reading.

However, if the treatment of the minority community in the North by unionists, with the full support of successive British governments, is the yardstick used to judge whether we in the South would be better off had we remained within the British Empire, then I believe the correct decision was made in 1921, warts and all. - Yours, etc.,
