Sir, - Ruth Dudley Edwards (December 21st) admits to being bigoted about the Welsh. This isn't uncommon in the London she has chosen to live in.
It would be salutary, however, for your readers and for Ms Edwards to be told what is the basis of that bigotry, for, unlike her brother, she has very little knowledge of Wales and the Welsh.
But then, isn't all bigotry based on ignorance? The Welsh are simply the Jews or Blacks or Romanians for those who no longer dare to express antipathy to those peoples. - Yours, etc., Harri Pritchard Jones
