Bloody-Minded Driving

Sir, - Peter Dunkin from Co Offaly (October 15th) is not alone in feeling there is an epidemic of aggression on the roads. When I myself stopped to allow a garbage truck pull out on a fairly busy road heading towards Dublin city centre, a woman behind me honked her horn and, believe me or not, gave me the fingers sign. Then she passed me out on a busy narrow road; I waited to hear a bang but she was lucky. This sort of aggression does not get you to your destination any quicker, as I was soon behind her again in the traffic. If there was courtesy on the roads there would be fewer accidents. - Yours, etc., Celestine Killian,

Mt. Anville Road, Dublin 14.
