Madam, - May I congratulate Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council for creating an oasis of tranquillity in the sea of chaotic traffic and everyday commuting life at the bird sanctuary in Booterstown? Growing up in the area, it never ceased to be a source of wonderment to me as I walked home along the Rock Road from school to see hordes of birds flocking to this tranquil spot. It is good to see the place get its deserved and overdue official recognition.
