DENIS MORTELL,
Madam, - So, Mr McCreevy didn't even have the cojones to turn to the bloodstock industry and say, "Look guys, you've been freeloading in this country for years. All I'm asking is for 12.5 per cent of the profits you make to bring you into line with other corporate taxpayers. You get to keep 87.5 per cent. That should be enough for anyone."
Meanwhile, we learn from Vincent Browne that the richest 14,000 in this country, of which the bloodstock set are almost certainly members, earn more than the poorest 250,000. Pathetic. - Yours, etc.,
DENIS MORTELL, Liberty Lane, Dublin 8.
