Sir, - If we are to see any solution emerging from the Stormont taks, it will be inevitable that the rescission of Articles 2 and 3 of the Constitution will be a component as no alternative will be acceptable to the unionist community.
In the absence of Articles 2 and 3, the President-elect will no longer be eligible for the post.
It seems that the Irish people may be asked to choose: lasting peace or McAleese. - Yours, etc., ,
