Sir, – The Automobile Association (AA) believes that the increase in clamping fines for illegal parking is another blow to motorists ("Dublin city clamping charges to increase to €125", News, February 20th).
Not to worry. It seems that drivers in Dublin have found a way to ensure activities like blocking the pavement or cycle lanes doesn’t matter through the tactic of leaving their hazard lights on. – Yours, etc,
