Sir, - Your correspondent, Eamann Breathnach (letters April 18th) would have the proposed Cashel bypass diverted to provide views of the Rock of Cashel. I disagree.
The mind boggles at the thought of the whizz kids flashing by in their Beamers and Mercs, a mobile phone glued to one ear, and they gazing out for a 40 second view of the Rock.
No thank you. Those of us who would appreciate the view can afford the extra eight or ten minutes to divert via minor roads and enjoy the vista without the risks implied in Mr Breathnach's proposal. Yours, etc.
