Sir, – Mark Lawler (July 4th) makes a good point in suggesting a machine be placed in Leinster House. Perhaps Minister for the Arts Jimmy Deenihan would go a step further and give a little support to the struggling arts sector by commissioning a modern sculpture made from a bunch of these useless items. If he were to put it on Leinster Lawn, it would certainly make a useful point to those who occupy those hallowed halls. – Yours, etc,
