Madam, - It is sad to see the tabloidisation of your once great newspaper continue apace.
I will not state my opinion of Celebrity Big Brother, the people who make it, its "stars" or its target audience, since if I did, legal constraints would surely prevent you publishing this letter.
To find the Big Brother "controversy" on the front page, the subject of the second editorial, and of an opinion piece in last Saturday's Irish Times represents a new low, in my opinion. What next? Page 3 girls?
I would give up your newspaper altogether were it not for the habit of 40 years and the fact that the others are even worse. - Yours, etc,
