Sir, – The article “Census shows a country changed yet still rooted in tradition” (Front page, March 30th) was quite excellent. A clear example of positive and upbeat writing from Carl O’Brien, it illustrates an Ireland progressing and changing for the better.
Too often we read about what’s going wrong for this little country so it’s nice to read about a different side of Ireland, one that appears to be embracing different cultures and lifestyles while retaining traditional family values and beliefs. A powerful sign of the health and vibrancy of the country indeed. – Yours, etc,
