Sir, - What a wonderful gesture it would be for the Church of Ireland to transfer the custodianship of Christ Church Cathedral to the Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church some time early in the third millennium of Christendom.
As to how to replace the Cathedral for the C of I Archbishop of Dublin, Glendalough and Kildare, perhaps Saint Stephen's Church, Upper Mount Street, could be a candidate? I would dearly like to hear what your readers think of the proposal. - Yours, etc.,
