Sir I accept Mr Sean Moran's criticism of me (April 11th) for saying that the Pope, is the head of a church, Christ being the only Head of the Church. This agrees with the Confession of Faith of the Presbyterian Church. "There is no other head of the church but the Lord Jesus Christ, nor can the Pope of Rome in any sense be head thereof". I think, however, that a Roman Catholic could legitimately refer to the Pope as the earthly visible head of his church. Yours, etc., Downings, Cc Donegal.
