Sir, - The mention of the Church of Scientology in Computimes (May 7th), while amusing, was not accurate. Firstly, the official church website is www.scientology.org. While it is true that this website is impressive and popular (128 million hits last year, over 30,000 pages of content) the Church of Scientology is far more than just a website. In fact it has over 9 million adherents in nearly 150 countries.
Secondly, scientologists do not have a mantra. The road to spiritual enlightenment for Scientologists is spiritual counselling and training courses, not chanting nor meditating, however beneficial those practices may be for adherents of other creeds. - Yours, etc.,
