Madam, - So Archbishop Raymond Burke of St Louis has said he would be morally obliged to deny Communion to Rudy Giuliani on account of the former New York mayor's support for abortion rights ( The Irish Times, October 5th).
Perhaps other Christian leaders might now issue a similar warning to members of the Bush administration for initiating the wanton, illegal destruction of Iraq, in part achieved with the indiscriminate use of such appalling weapons as phosphorous and napalm-type bombs.
