Sir, – Each Friday morning I buy my Irish Times from Michael, the street vendor on Saint Patrick's Street in Cork. Having opened my stall in the English Market, I take my morning coffee at Coffee Central, the stall next door, and read John Allen's hurling analysis in the sports section first.
Usually, by the time I am finished, John Allen himself has arrived at the counter for a coffee. Always a gentleman, John is available to answer questions and field my reactions to his article.
This analog service is first class and, I am sure, cannot be bettered by any online publication.
