Sir, - Critics of the new Michael Collins film have criticised its casual rewriting of Irish historical fact in order to boost its box office takings. In particular, the scene in which Collins wrestles with a dinosaur before escaping in the Collinsmobile down O'Connell Street has been singled out.
This is a travesty. It's well known that Collins escaped down Grafton Street. Just thought that a little reality should enter in the debate. - Yours, etc.,
