Madam, - A number of questions occurred to me when I heard about the verdict in the case of the Colombia Three.
1. Why were the three men travelling on false passports?
2. Is it the policy of Sinn Féin/IRA for members to travel to foreign countries on false passports?
3. How did the three men acquire the false passports?
4. What were they doing in Colombia?
The people of the Republic of Ireland have the right to know the answers to these questions. If Sinn Féin has the democratic credentials it claims, it should answer these questions immediately. The people deserve the truth. However, I suspect we will just get the same barrage of "anti-agreement Unionists/Loyalists/British Government/Securocrats trying to attack peace/Good Friday Agreement" (delete as appropriate).
I'm tired of hearing the same rubbish from the same scripts. It's time for Sinn Féin to stop hiding behind the same old excuses and start being honest with the people. - Yours, etc.,
