Sir, - Included in my recent post was a Christmas card from my local TD, Seamus Brennan - the first I have ever received from him. I have to say it brought a huge smile to my face. Indeed it brought on a fit of laughter so strong I had to calm myself down with a stiff drink - something I normally reserve for Christmas Day itself. Needless to say, it's not on the mantelpiece, but instead decorating, in dozens of little pieces, the inside of my kitchen bin.
Surely it's not linked with the election next year? The suspense is almost too much. I simply can't wait for my next Christmas card in December 2006. Oh, by the way, happy Christmas, Seamus et al. - Yours, etc.,
