A chara, – So the spokesman for Hunky Dory crisps thinks his ads are fun (Home News April 28th). This is usually the last line of defence when trying to defend the indefensible and avoid criticism when guilty of sexism, racism or homophobia. In response to Jonathan Wormald (May 1st), I can’t agree that the campaign is a success – from being neutral as to what crisps to buy, I now know what not to buy. – Is mise,

Madam, – Apropos the ludicrous commentary surrounding the advertising campaign for Hunky Dory’s, I cannot help but wonder what the reaction would have been if scantily-clad young gentlemen had featured on the billboards? Might I suggest that there would not have been a whimper of protest.  Sexual equality indeed! – Yours, etc,
