Madam, - Imagine that: a government official facing jail for perjury, making a false statement and obstructing justice ("Scooter" Libby verdict, The Irish Times, March 7th).
Surely we could organise a junket of politicians to advise the Americans on how to avoid this nasty jail business. Surely they would be interested in the great Irish tradition of side-tracking all that inconvenient justice thing into very expensive never-ending tribunals where nobody is ever held to account. - Yours, etc,
