Madam, - Just today, I belatedly read the letter in your edition of March 2nd from the eminent head of vocal studies at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, who commended the singing in Welsh of the Welsh National Anthem at Lansdowne Road by the Cork soprano Cara O'Sullivan.
We in Cork are intensely proud of our three internationally renowned sopranos, and this is just one instance of what we have learned to expect from this splendid and invariably most satisfying artist. - Yours, etc,
FRANK BYRNE,
St Finbarr's Park,
Glasheen Road,
Cork.
