Sir, – Further to "Viking centre discovered in Cork city predates Waterford settlement" (News, January 10th), why do I get the impression that if Waterford city had been established on some Wednesday a thousand years ago, that excavations in Cork would have found that city to have been established on a Tuesday? – Yours, etc,
