COUNTING THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS

Sir, - Does anybody out there know or care that there are 69 sets of traffic lights between DunLaoghaire, about seven miles south of Dublin, and Jordanstown, about seven miles north of Belfast? Six are between Newry and Jordanstown and 63 from Newry to Dun Laoghaire.

Could the reason for the smooth, constant flow of traffic from Newry to Jordanstown be due to the lack of traffic lights? - Yours, etc.,
